Viking jobs
There were a lot of Viking jobs such as farmers, craftsmen, traders, raiders/warriors, builders, blacksmiths, artists, navigators, sail-makers, sailors, glassmakers, bone carvers and traders as well as hunters. Most of the specialist jobs were done by farmers. As it was a benefit to know many skills, most of the items they made/grew could be traded. Women managed the Viking household, which was considered an important job. The girls were taught these skills at an early age. Some of their tasks included cooking, making yarn from wool and flax, weaving to create fabric and making clothes Other jobs included tending the animals. Girls could become warriors if they were strong enough and wanted to use a sword and fight.
